In 2009, the Centre for Marine Simulation (CMS) will recreate The Roosevelt – Captain Bob Bartlett’s ship – on their full motion bridge simulator. The public will be invited to see, hear and feel what it was like on that vessel in the North in 1909.

We welcome fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and friends of the Province to join the Ambassador Network and help to spread this Province’s good news to the world.

It’s easy to be a part of our growing network. Whether your input leads to the landing of a major international contract employing thousands, or just a few friends from away coming for a visit, your efforts as an Ambassador are greatly appreciate and do indeed go a long way!

Today the Ambassador Newfoundland and Labrador program boasts a business network operating in more than 15 countries. From staff in foreign embassies to students working to gain international experience to business professionals working in global markets…all are welcome!

So who are our Ambassadors?

Our Ambassadors are generally:
  • ex-patriate Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living outside of our province;
  • individuals who feel an affinity for our province and the desire to share it with others;
  • individuals who keep abreast of trends and developments within our province;
  • individuals in a position to present information to groups interested in our province;
  • individuals who are proud and excited about their connection to our province;
  • available from time to time to attend scheduled events and perhaps speak on behalf of the program.
While The Ambassador program has a healthy interest in business-related matters, we welcome participants from all sectors and disciplines. A diverse representation further enhances what this program is all about - bringing the potential of Newfoundland and Labrador to parts of the world it has never been before.

Newfoundlanders and Labradorians know first-hand that our province is a diverse, multi-faceted land with a diverse, multi-talented population full of creativity and energy. Ultimately, our Ambassadors are bringing that same creativity and energy to the entire world.
